BRIEF HISTORY OF OUR CLUB
The Oldies But Goodies Classic Cruizers was formed on September 1, 1998. The club was formed to bring together people who have an interest in cars and trucks 20 years old and older. We also support charities that improve the lives of children. The club has helped to raise and donate thousands of dollars to various charities. The club was incorporated as a non-profit organization in January 2003 and received its federal exemption status under Section 501(7) of the IRS regulations.
The club actively participates in car shows, cruise-ins and runs. Our club has participated in shows from our first sponsored show in Franklin Virginia back in October 1999, to having shows for the Children's Miracle Network, MDA, "Make A Wish Foundation", Juvenile Diabetes, St. Judes Hospital, and the Enon Volunteer Fire Department. We have also participated in various church rallies and events for kids. We attend three local Christmas Parades including the Hopewell Jaycees Christmas Parade, The Prince George Christmas Parade, and The Chester Kiwanis Christmas Parade.
This club is one of the most active car clubs in Virginia. Our members can be seen traveling together to other car club's functions and to various shows and events in and outside of the central Virginia area. Our club has won many "Club Participation Awards" as well as individual car awards.
The Oldies But Goodies are recognized as an outstanding asset to the community and our members wear their "colors" with pride. We enjoy doing what we do and are very enthusiastic about those whom we support. We enjoy our cars as well as supporting children's charities. We also have wonderful fellowship with friends, family and community!
